Mate, don't let the reaction of one person get to you. She was probably secretly pleased that you were taking her photograph and was just trying to draw attention to herself.
keep doing it if that's what you want to do. If anyone complains just apologise and let them watch you delete the pic.
Just be careful taking pictures of kids.
