"She can see him on the jetty where they used to go / She can feel him in the places where the sailors go /
When she's walking by the river and the railway line / She can still hear him whisper let's go down to the waterline" (Dire Straits)

Great story, best conversation & a brilliant picture, Jacob! A day by the sea can be dangerous trip for tourists. Attacking seagulls ... I never leave home without a hat. Made my day. All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Yeah, you are a bitch!
But isn't that what you want to be?
Never visit stives in the summer myself, awful place.
Those flying rats are trained, I swear.

Get back to potting, best place for you.

They are not flying rats!
Herring gulls have recently been added to the British Red Data list of officially endangered species. They are just being extremely resourceful and doing what they have to do to survive. If people hadn't started feeding them and leaving rubbish all over the place then they probably wouldn't be the problem they have become. I have nothing but admiration for them and think they are beautiful creatures !!!!!
